Job Title: Behavioral Health Care Clinician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Behavioral Health Care Clinician to join our team at Amador County, CA. As a key member of our Behavioral Health Services team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to individuals and families in need.

Job Summary:

The Behavioral Health Care Clinician will provide a range of therapeutic assignments related to behavioral health services, including intake and assessment, treatment planning, and psychotherapy for adults, children, and older adults. This role requires a strong understanding of psychological aspects of physical and emotional disturbances and mental deficiencies, as well as the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct and indirect behavioral health services to a varied caseload of patients in outpatient clinics, homes, schools, and community settings.
  • Conduct interviews with consumers, relatives, and other involved persons to gather personal and social data relevant to assessing mental or emotional disorders.
  • Develop service plans with consumers and evaluate and document psychological, economic, vocational, educational, physical, health, socialization, and housing needs.
  • Work with treatment teams to develop and implement interventions, including case management, and establish and maintain effective contacts with local area mental health resources.
  • Perform specialized tasks, including risk assessment and intervention, and participate in meetings, training sessions, conferences, and presentations.
Requirements:
  • Masters degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Registration by the California State Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an Associate Marriage Family Therapist (AMFT), Associate Clinical Social Worker (ACSW), or Associate Professional Clinical Counselor (APCC).
  • Licensure by the California State Board of Behavioral Science Examiners (BBSE) as a Licensed Marriage Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or the Board of Clinical Psychologists.
