Job Description
The Patient Safety Associate plays a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of patients in our healthcare facility. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and support to patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor patients' activity and behavior, and communicate regularly with nursing staff to ensure their needs are met.
- Assist with patient care tasks, such as bathing, linen changes, and repositioning, as directed by nursing staff.
- Document patient activities every 15 minutes and provide reports to nursing staff.
- Respond promptly to patient call bells and notify nursing staff as needed.
- Restock supplies and maintain a safe, clean, and neat work environment.
- Participate in hospital-wide emergency codes and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; 3 years of equivalent work experience accepted in lieu of education.
- Ability to work legally in the United States.
- Pass background and drug screenings.
- Previous Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) or healthcare experience preferred.
- Fluent English language skills required.
- Must complete Patient Safety Associate, Crisis Prevention Intervention, and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation trainings.
- Meet immunization or health screening requirements.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
- Ability to work in a quiet environment.
- Strong leadership skills and ability to encourage others.
- Passion for customer service and attention to detail.
- Regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands, talk, see, and hear.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 75 pounds occasionally.
- Push and pull 75 pounds frequently and 100 pounds occasionally.
- Push and pull (on wheelchair) 100 to 350 pounds, frequently over considerable distance.
- Ability to work flexible schedules and extended hours required.
