Lean Operations Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Lean Lead to join our team at Nevell Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the project foreman in ensuring work is completed efficiently and effectively, while maintaining the highest quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement weekly work plans for crew members
  • Track and receive materials, consumables, and equipment as ordered by the foreman
  • Monitor and document work hours for each employee on the jobsite
  • Attend and participate in stakeholder meetings
  • Facilitate meetings and distribute minutes to project team members
  • Onboard new crew members on the jobsite
  • Conduct daily walks to ensure crew members are set up for success and report back to the foreman
  • Develop systems to ensure consumables, tools, and equipment are always available
  • Maintain a clean and organized jobsite trailer

Requirements:

  1. Three years' experience in a related field
  2. Fundamental knowledge of Lean construction tools, including weekly work plans, Last Planner System, constraint logs, waste walks, Kanban systems, A-3, 8 wastes, and daily huddles
  3. Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team
  4. Initiative to solve problems and improve project success
  5. Ability to work under stressful and changing conditions
  6. Strong speaking skills and confidence to coach others on Lean topics
