Key Responsibilities:- Conduct environmental inspections and complete inspection reports
- Enforce environmental health regulations and codes
- Provide education and outreach to the public on environmental health issues
- Collaborate with other agencies and stakeholders to achieve public health goals
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve environmental health outcomes
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health or a related field
- Valid California Motor Vehicle Operator's License
- Valid certificate of registration as an Environmental Health Specialist issued by the State of California
- Two years of full-time experience as an Environmental Health Specialist
- Experience with environmental health regulations and codes
- Knowledge of environmental health principles and practices
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
