About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Compliance Specialist to join our team at Western & Southern Financial Group. As a Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring our company's compliance with insurance and federal regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct regular monitoring and oversight to identify and remediate potential risks.
  • Perform compliance reviews and remediation projects in a timely and efficient manner, preparing workpapers that accurately document testing results and overall adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Lead cross-functional projects to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and remediate areas of non-compliance.
  • Research insurance regulations and laws, analyzing and interpreting regulatory compliance requirements, and updating procedures and processes in response to regulatory changes as appropriate.
  • Assist in communicating compliance requirements, regulatory changes, and regulatory actions to impacted business units and subsidiaries, advising them on regulatory implications of business decisions and the implementation of controls to mitigate risk.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 4-6 years related experience.
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively independently and within a team environment.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the life insurance industry, including product types, and state insurance laws and regulations.
  • Proven experience conducting compliance assessments of compliance and regulatory risk.
  • LOMA - Associate, Insurance Regulatory and Compliance (AIRC) designation within 1-1/2 years.
