Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Risk Manager to lead our County's risk management efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing risk management, safety, security, and workers' compensation programs, as well as managing staff and budgets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement risk management strategies to mitigate potential losses and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Oversee safety and security programs, including accident prevention and investigation, and ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant regulations.
  • Manage staff responsible for risk management, safety, and security, including conducting performance evaluations and approving time off.
  • Prepare and recommend budgets for risk management, safety, and security programs, and monitor and evaluate their effectiveness.
  • Partner with insurance brokers, County Prosecutor, Ohio BWC, and other stakeholders to ensure that all forms of risk are appropriately addressed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in risk management, insurance, business administration, or related field.
  • Five years of relevant work experience, or equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Valid driver's license issued by the state of residency.
  • Preferred qualifications include one or more of the following designations: ARM, ARMP, CRM, or CPCU.
Work Environment

This position is based in Cincinnati, Ohio, and requires travel to various work locations daily. The successful candidate must be available 24/7 to respond to emergency safety or security issues.
