Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a high-impact production team and oversee scheduling and task distribution
  • Provide leadership and direction to promote safe work practices and improve quality and efficiency
  • Act as a team role model and change-agent, positively influencing team members to achieve individual and business goals
  • Assist the team manager with production flow and daily staffing of equipment to meet monthly budgets
  • Communicate and supervise key operational metrics, collaborating with other functional areas to resolve problems and develop improved manufacturing processes
  • Provide feedback to the team manager regarding the production team member's performance and coordinate production activities to meet business needs
  • Promote and facilitate the personal development of team members by identifying and creating opportunities for training
  • Ensure that all employees are following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training instructions, and lead the efforts to identify the root cause and put preventative actions in place for quality-and safety-related issues
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • General knowledge and ability to work with computers and programs (Google, email, documents, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, manufacturing systems)
  • Willingness to act as an additional manufacturing resource by taking a hands-on approach to day-to-day production activities
  • Must regard safety as a core value and serve as a role model for other employees, encouraging adherence to safety practices, policies, and procedures
  • Must be able to actively contribute in a team-based environment, encourage open communication and positive interaction with peers and management to effectively reach a common goal
  • Must have a strong service and quality focus, be able to address issues effectively when problems arise, and take initiative to understand root cause then communicate/educate team in a timely manner
  • Must have demonstrated record of flexibility and dependability in order to support production and customer focus
  • Must have a strong detail orientation and be able to follow written and oral instructions
  • Must be able to lift/push/pull up to 50lbs
  • Willingness to participate in additional training (On/off Site) as needed
