Position Summary:
APTIM is in search of a skilled Residential Energy Program Manager with extensive experience in program and project oversight.

This role is pivotal in leading and supervising residential energy efficiency and demand response initiatives.

The Residential Energy Program Manager will oversee management-level administrative functions, including program performance metrics and budget management. A solid understanding of the residential sector and technical proficiency in energy efficiency and demand response is essential. This position will report directly to the Program Director.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Directing and coordinating the collaborative efforts of all team members and resources essential for the successful strategic planning and execution of programs.
  • Collaborating with Implementation Subcontractors to ensure technical and administrative support and oversight.
  • Cultivating relationships with industry partners to identify and meet their needs through the program, which may involve public presentations and information-gathering sessions.
  • Informing program participants about energy efficiency opportunities, including available options, associated costs, and benefits.
  • Composing technical and non-technical summaries, blogs, newsletters, and other educational materials for diverse audiences.
  • Discussing various elements and aspects of energy-consuming equipment utilized in residential and commercial buildings.
  • Conducting quality assurance and quality control of program processes and protocols, providing enhancements and recommendations based on findings.
  • Creating and managing contracts with Implementation Subcontractors and vendors.
  • Monitoring and reporting on program performance and other metrics as required.
  • Assisting in resolving operational and management challenges within the program.
  • Supporting program design by staying informed on the latest energy-saving technologies and outreach strategies through webinars, conferences, and networking with industry stakeholders.
  • Building partnerships with community organizations and other program stakeholders.
  • Keeping abreast of the latest energy-saving technologies and outreach strategies to offer program design insights and support the ongoing development of the residential portfolio.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
  • Ensuring adherence to all APTIM quality and safety standards as well as OSHA regulations.

Essential Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution or equivalent professional experience.
  • 4-6 years of program/project management experience related to energy program oversight.
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency and demand response technologies and solutions for residential clients.
  • Experience in designing, developing, and implementing energy efficiency and demand response programs.
  • Understanding of traditional RFP processes and procedures.
  • Ability to identify complex issues and formulate, evaluate, and implement solutions.
  • Proficiency in data collection and analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Capability to assist in developing and enforcing policies and procedures.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations as necessary.
  • Skills in assessing organizational and individual performance to facilitate improvements.
  • Competence in negotiation, conflict resolution, and consensus-building among diverse stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects effectively.
  • Commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment within the team and across the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in the energy efficiency sector is preferred.
  • Understanding of energy efficiency technologies and solutions.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Dynamics.
