Position Summary:

The core responsibility of a commercial vehicle operator is to safely and effectively manage a commercial motor vehicle, adhering to company policies as well as Federal and State regulations, ensuring all freight is delivered without damage.

As a collaborative team member, you will be tasked with delivering, loading, and unloading materials while providing exceptional customer service.


Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough inspections of the truck/trailer to ensure safe operation.
  • Safely load construction materials onto flatbed or boom trucks and unload products at various job sites.
  • Deliver materials to designated areas as instructed by customers, prioritizing personal and public safety.
  • Maintain necessary records for compliance with State and Federal regulations.
  • Report any accidents involving driver or company equipment.
  • Exhibit the stamina to lift heavy materials, up to 100+ lbs., during loading and unloading.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills and maintain a professional demeanor.

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • Possession of a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
  • Minimum Class B License; Class A is strongly preferred.
  • Clear three (3) year Motor Vehicle Report (MVR).
  • Comprehensive understanding of Department of Transportation regulations.
  • Experience with boom operations is preferred.

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to remain stationary while operating a commercial vehicle for 40% of the time.
  • Capability to lift heavy materials, up to 80 lbs., during loading and unloading processes.
  • Frequent movement of materials weighing up to 80 lbs. during unloading.
  • Consistent operation of commercial and/or boom vehicles.
  • Ability to judge distances accurately while delivering materials and operating boom equipment.
  • Effective communication with management and coworkers to exchange accurate information.
  • Regular work in outdoor environments while making deliveries.

Compensation and Benefits:

As a new hire at GTS, you will be eligible for a sign-on bonus within the first six months of employment, with amounts varying based on qualifications.

Estimated Compensation Range: $27.00-$39.00/hr.

This pay range represents a reasonable estimate of combined base and footage pay made in good faith at the time of this position's posting. Actual compensation may vary.
