Job Title: Cardiac Vascular Sonographer

We are seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Vascular Sonographer to join our team at WellStar Health System, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a wide range of technical procedures, including echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound studies, to diagnose and treat various medical conditions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform echocardiograms and vascular ultrasound studies to diagnose and treat various medical conditions
  • Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment to ensure high-quality images and accurate diagnoses
  • Position patients for procedures and ensure their safety and comfort throughout the examination
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to provide excellent patient care
  • Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure high-quality patient care and accurate diagnoses
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited program
  • Graduate of a formal Diagnostic Medical Sonography program or an accredited Cardiovascular Technology program
  • Minimum 1 year experience in echocardiography or vascular sonography
  • Basic Life Support certification
  • Reg Vascular Specialist certification
  • Reg Vascular Technologist certification
  • ARRT Vascular Sonography certification
  • Reg Cardiac Sonographer - CCI certification
  • Reg Diag Cardiac Sonographer certification
  • Reg Diag Card Sono Adult Echo certification
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with ultrasound equipment and software
  • Knowledge of anatomy and pathology related to echocardiography and vascular ultrasound
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends and holidays
