Job Overview

Gridware is a pioneering company that aims to enhance and protect the electrical grid, a critical infrastructure that underpins modern society. As a Senior Grid Systems Engineer, you will play a key role in developing advanced sensing systems to continuously analyze the electrical and mechanical behavior of grid assets.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering or a physical science, with a proven track record of delivering projects using diverse and distributed sensor data to classify or detect natural phenomena. Experience in preparing real-time data and tools for operations centers, such as security monitoring, weather, pipeline, wind turbine, or utility management, is highly desirable.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing an advanced operations alerting system to efficiently respond to real-time events on the electrical grid, leveraging intelligent processing of high-frequency data across multiple sensor modalities to generate informative features for both human and machine learning models.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement advanced algorithms for fault detection and characterization on the electrical grid.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sensor data and develop real-time monitoring systems.
  3. Design and implement data visualization tools to support operations centers and stakeholders.
  4. Contribute to the development of new markets for safety and reliability improvement.
