We are seeking a skilled Stationary Engineer I to join our team at Arkansas Children's Hospital. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our Central Energy Plant machinery to ensure maximum comfort levels and a stable supply of utilities in all connected buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and maintain basic Central Energy Plant machinery to attain maximum comfort levels and a stable supply of all utilities.
  • Monitor local indicators and building automation systems to ensure proper operation of machinery and a stable supply of utilities.
  • Respond quickly and effectively to alarms to minimize machinery damage and inconvenience to customers.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of plant events.
  • Conduct basic inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance on machinery in accordance with preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Maintain and increase knowledge of machines/systems and their operating characteristics.
  • Possess knowledge of emergency response procedures for all plant equipment/utilities and demonstrate the ability to carry out procedures.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma
  • 1 year of hospital-specific Central Energy Plant operation experience or related field experience
  • Recommended certifications: Boiler Operator License, Industrial Maintenance Electrician License, and Universal Technician Certification
