Requirements
To be considered for this position, applicants must possess one of the following:
- A valid California Child Development Teacher Permit, Master Teacher Permit, Site Supervisor Permit, or Program Director Permit.
Qualifications
- Certification in Child Development, Site Supervision, or Program Direction.
- A letter of introduction.
- Two or more letters of recommendation, preferably within the past year.
- A resume.
Experience and Education
Applicants must have at least 3 years of full-time teaching experience in a preschool or child development classroom setting. Additionally, they must possess 24 units of Early Childhood Education (ECE) or Childhood Development, plus 16 general education units, with 12 units in School Age Emphasis, including core courses. Alternatively, applicants may hold an Associate's degree or higher in ECE or a related field, with 3 semester units of supervised field experience in ECE or School Age settings.
Post-Selection Requirements
If selected, applicants will be required to undergo fingerprint verification at a cost of approximately $67, provide proof of TB clearance within 4 years, and obtain a Certificate of Completion for the California Mandated Reporter Training, dated after July 1, 2024.
