About the Position

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Care Coordinator to join our team at United Ability, INC. in Birmingham, AL.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and carrying out educational small group outings in various community settings for adults with disabilities. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members.

Responsibilities:
  • Plan and implement community-based activities for adults with disabilities, including small group employment and volunteer opportunities.
  • Create curriculum and train adults with disabilities on various skills, promoting independence and confidence.
  • Transport adults into the community and ensure their safety, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must possess a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver's license, and a successful completion of motor vehicle screening. Additionally, they should have CPR/First Aid Red Cross certification (which can be obtained on-site after employment).
