Position Overview:

Title: Project Manager - Information Security
Location: Remote (must be able to work CST)
Duration: 6 Months with potential for extension

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage multiple concurrent projects effectively.
  • Oversee the Project Management functions and activities.
  • Identify and resolve project issues and risks promptly.
  • Provide leadership and guidance on project management best practices.
  • Define and communicate the responsibilities and accountability of project staff.
  • Eliminate cross-organizational barriers affecting projects.
  • Collaborate with senior management to achieve project goals.
  • Consult with IT and Business Leaders on project investments and resource allocation.
  • Ensure accurate and timely project financials.
  • Lead and manage project staff with a focus on talent development.
  • Establish project management practices and ensure consistency across projects.
  • Foster a community of practice among project managers.
  • Encourage the sharing of best practices and lessons learned.

Additional Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in leading large-scale technical security projects.
  • Strong background in information security, with at least 5 years dedicated to Cyber Security.
  • Experience managing multi-million dollar projects involving multiple vendors.
  • Solid understanding of project accounting, budgeting, and operational costs.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Financial Acumen:

  • Proficient in forecasting, budgeting, and financial management.

Technical Skills:

  • Experience with security tool implementations and upgrades.
  • Familiarity with tools such as CyberArk, Palo Alto, CrowdStrike, and others.

Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:

  • In-depth knowledge of project management practices.
  • Strong communication skills with internal and external partners.
  • Demonstrated leadership and integrity.
  • Ability to drive results and resolve issues effectively.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry and related products.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other business software.
  • Strong background in Identity and Access Management (IAM).

Soft Skills:

  • Self-directed and able to work independently.
  • Capable of managing ambiguity and detail-oriented.
  • Ability to understand and communicate technical concepts.
  • Effective in managing vendors and service providers.
  • Quick to adapt to new methodologies and corporate culture.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required; Master's preferred in a related field.
  • Minimum of ten years of relevant experience, including five years in management.
  • Relevant certifications are a plus.
