Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Spanish interpreter to provide on-call interpreter and translation services for enrolled families who do not speak English as a primary language. As an interpreter for EOCFWA - Educational Opportunities for Children and Families, you will play a critical role in facilitating communication and ensuring equal access to services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide interpreter and translation services for enrolled families in a variety of settings, including in-person and remote work opportunities.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, staff, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely interpretation and translation services.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to meet the needs of EOCFWA's clients and programs.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of EOCFWA's services, policies, and procedures to provide accurate and informed interpretation and translation services.
  • Collaborate with EOCFWA staff to identify and address language access barriers and develop strategies to improve communication and access to services.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience providing paid interpreter services to adults in the human/social services field.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English and Spanish.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
