Job Title: Radiology Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiology Technologist to join our team at the Detroit Medical Center. As a Radiology Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the highest quality patient care and safety in our diagnostic imaging department.

Job Summary:

The Radiology Technologist will be responsible for operating and maintaining imaging equipment, preparing patients for exams, and producing high-quality images for diagnostic purposes. This is a full-time position that requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate and maintain imaging equipment, including CT scanners, MRI machines, and X-ray units
  • Prepare patients for exams, including explaining procedures and positioning patients for optimal image quality
  • Produce high-quality images for diagnostic purposes, ensuring accurate and precise results
  • Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective patient care
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, including patient information and imaging results
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree in a related technical or administrative discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Two or more years of progressively responsible technical experience with EMR or Radiology Information Systems
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, radiologists, and other healthcare professionals
