Job Title: Traffic / ITS Engineer (EI / PE)

Job Summary:
Halff Associates is seeking a skilled Traffic / ITS Engineer to join our team in Tallahassee, FL. As a key member of our Traffic / ITS Engineering team, you will be responsible for conducting traffic impact and level of service analyses, managing traffic / ITS projects, and collaborating with clients and other consultants. Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage traffic impact and level of service analyses
  • Manage traffic / ITS projects and tasks to support business needs
  • Assist in managing the workload of design staff, including engineers, EI's, and technical staff
  • Assist in developing and managing project scopes, budgets, and schedules
  • Review traffic / ITS designs and detailed plans for accuracy and consistency
  • Report on project progress
  • Collaborate with clients and other consultants
  • Assist with business development activities

Requirements:
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or an ABET-accredited equivalent engineering degree
  • Engineer Intern (EI) or Professional Engineer (PE) license, preferably in Florida, or ability to obtain within 1 year of starting date
  • At least 3 years of experience conducting traffic impact and level of service analyses
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Self-directed yet a team player, with a focus on quality, integrity, and success
  • Proficiency with MicroStation and Microsoft Office software
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and clients
  • GIS capability is a plus
