Job Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Traffic / Transportation Design EIT who will support our clients, co-workers, and Core Principles - "understand our customers and satisfy their needs, do what we say we are going to do, and Have Fun".

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of signal design and maintenance of traffic plans.
  • Perform signal design plans to include: Traffic Signals, Pedestrian Hybrid Beacon, Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB), Pedestrian signals, Push buttons.
  • Prepare plans for construction, including signal details, pavement markings, specifications and special provisions for construction.
  • Develop Maintenance of Traffic Plans (MOT) for various design projects.
  • Leading designated projects and reporting progress to senior staff
  • Coordinate work with other engineers, CAD designers, and others who assist in specific assignments as needed.
  • Attend field meetings with review agencies and clients.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Civil Engineering or related degree required; 4 years of related experience required;
  • FE/EIT or ability to obtain within 6 months
  • Familiarity with Michigan (County, City, State) permitting;
  • Detail oriented and self-starter;
  • Ability to follow directions and work in a team environment;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Microstation
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Suite software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). EOE
