Job Summary:

As a Quality Assurance Specialist at Orbis Corporation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality of our products and processes. Your primary responsibility will be to support plant personnel on daily quality concerns and communicate quality alerts as needed. You will also be responsible for auditing compliance with existing procedures and requirements, including paperwork at the press and process variances. Additionally, you will perform correlation studies, conduct in-house calibration, and schedule outsourcing calibration services. Your expertise will be essential in updating documentation and aiding in writing procedures and work instructions. You will work in a safe and efficient manner, using all personal protective equipment and devices required, in accordance with all STW documentation. You will also be actively involved in Continuous Improvement, promoting and sustaining all CI, 5S, and STW activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support plant personnel on daily quality concerns and communicate quality alerts as needed.
  • Audit compliance with existing procedures and requirements, including paperwork at the press and process variances.
  • Perform correlation studies and conduct in-house calibration and schedule outsourcing calibration services.
  • Update documentation and aid in writing procedures and work instructions.
  • Work in a safe and efficient manner, using all personal protective equipment and devices required.
  • Be actively involved in Continuous Improvement, promoting and sustaining all CI, 5S, and STW activities.

Requirements:
  • 1-3 years of relevant work experience.
  • Associate's degree in a related field.
  • ASQ certification.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people.
  • Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles.
  • Ability to use and influence organizational policies, standards, and procedures guiding manufacturing practices.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office and other computer programs.
