Your Role as Program Director

In your capacity as Program Director at the Wayman Palmer YMCA, you will orchestrate the behind-the-scenes operations, including budgeting, staff recruitment, training, and scheduling for essential program areas such as Youth and Adult Sports, Youth and Teen initiatives, Group Exercise, and Family Events. You will have the chance to showcase your leadership skills, ensuring that these programs operate seamlessly while maintaining an engaging atmosphere for all participants. Your leadership will empower staff to deliver programs that reflect our core values, creating a meaningful impact within the community.

Are You the Right Fit?

To excel as the Program Director at the YMCA, a Bachelor's degree in Education, Family Studies, or a related discipline is essential. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of experience in staff management is required to ensure the smooth operation of programs. Strong communication and organizational abilities will be crucial as you navigate various program areas and staff responsibilities. The ability to adapt to changing circumstances and inspire your team to perform at their best will be key to creating a positive and impactful experience for the youth and families in our community.
