Your Role as Program Director

In your capacity as Program Director at the Wayman Palmer YMCA, you will orchestrate the operational aspects of various programs, including budgeting, recruitment, training, and scheduling of staff across key areas such as Youth and Adult Sports, Youth and Teen programming, Group Exercise, and Family Events. Your leadership will ensure that these programs operate seamlessly, maintaining an engaging and positive atmosphere for all participants. Under your direction, staff will be empowered to deliver initiatives that reflect our core values, creating a meaningful impact within the community.

Are You the Right Fit? To excel in this role, a Bachelor's degree in Education, Family Studies, or a related discipline is essential. Additionally, a minimum of 2 years of experience in staff management is required to ensure the smooth operation of our programs. Strong communication and organizational skills are crucial, as you will navigate various program areas and staff responsibilities. The ability to adapt quickly, motivate your team, and foster a positive and impactful environment for our youth and families will be key to your success.
