Job Summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a highly skilled Cardiac Device Specialist to join our team. As a Magnet designated organization, we are committed to providing exceptional patient care and promoting a culture of excellence.

The successful candidate will have experience with interrogation of implantable cardiac devices, including pacemakers, implanted defibrillators, and implantable loop recorders. They will provide direct patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings, working collaboratively with the team to manage remote transmissions.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide expert care to patients with implantable cardiac devices

Conduct device interrogations and reprogramming as needed

Collaborate with EP Providers, APPs, and EP Fellows to provide exceptional patient care

Participate in device clinics and troubleshoot device interactions or malfunctions

Provide post-operative device interrogation and discharge teaching and instruction to patients

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing

RN License issued by the State of California

BLS/CPR and ACLS certification at time of hire with commitment to get ART within six (6) months of hire date

At least five (5) years recent outpatient cardiology/EP RN experience

Experience with cardiac rhythm management devices, including remote monitoring, device interrogations, and reprogramming

Preferred Qualifications

BSN

CCRN certifications

Charge nurse experience

Annual Full Pay Range:
$123,902 - $173,659 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent:
$83.17
