Position Overview:
The SRI Guest Services Representative is responsible for managing room bookings, facilitating guest check-ins and check-outs, and ensuring exceptional standards of personalized service for all visitors.

Qualifications:
Education and Experience: A minimum of a high school diploma; six months to one year of relevant experience and/or training, or a suitable combination of education and experience. Waivers may apply under specific circumstances.
Language Proficiency: Ability to comprehend and interpret documents such as safety regulations, operational instructions, and procedural manuals. Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence. Effective communication skills with both customers and colleagues are essential.
Mathematical Skills: Competence in calculating figures and amounts, including discounts, interest, and percentages.
Reasoning Ability: Capability to apply common sense to follow instructions provided in written, oral, or diagrammatic form. Ability to address issues involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in using computer software, including but not limited to Epitome, Microsoft Office applications, and Online Travel Agency extranets.

Compensation:
Hourly rate: $26.00
*Includes a gas benefit per shift for eligible employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Enhance hotel revenue by employing demand-driven sales strategies.
  2. Stay informed about property details, room categories, amenities, group bookings, corporate accounts, pricing, and promotional offers.
  3. Process room reservations, warmly greet guests, register them, assign rooms, and manage check-outs. Maintain accurate records of room availability and guest accounts. Verify charges, collect payments, and make necessary adjustments to guest folios.
  4. Assist guests with local information, dining reservations, and special requests.
  5. Adhere to established Front Desk protocols and procedures.
  6. Maintain a friendly and courteous demeanor towards colleagues, guests, and vendors at all times.
  7. Utilize excellent guest relations, telephone etiquette, computer skills, and room sales techniques.
  8. Report any unusual items to management that may require follow-up, including potential safety hazards or significant guest concerns.
  9. Establish and maintain effective communication channels with management, guests, and team members.
  10. Follow cash handling procedures to prevent shortages.
  11. Collaborate closely with the Housekeeping Department, notifying them of late check-outs, room changes, early check-ins, and special requests.
  12. Use equipment and materials safely and responsibly, adhering to established safety protocols and common sense safety practices in all job-related activities.
  13. Consistently uphold hotel standards.
  14. Conduct oneself in a manner that reflects the highest standards of the hotel and encourage others to do the same.
  15. Additional duties may be assigned as necessary.

Supervisory Responsibilities:
A. In the absence of the Innkeeper or General Manager, the SRI Guest Services Representative is authorized to make decisions to resolve guest issues in alignment with hotel standards.
B. When fulfilling the responsibilities outlined in section A, the SRI Guest Services Representative will execute supervisory duties in accordance with organizational policies and applicable laws.
