Accountability:

This position is responsible for performing assembly operations in building units and assemblies, including standard, special, and prototype assemblies.

Scope and Responsibilities:

  • Retrieve and study assembly instructions, detailed part prints, assembly layouts, and parts lists.
  • Read blueprints and/or electrical schematics to understand assembly requirements.
  • Gather parts, tools, and materials from inventory using a supplied material list.
  • Prepare parts prior to assembly, including small-sized unit assembly work.
  • Follow detailed work instructions for order or assembly operations.
  • Assemble machines/units according to current assembly procedures, layouts, and parts lists.
  • Use small hand tools and power tools for assembly processes.
  • Perform machine set-up/verification of customer's order specifications by inspection and/or measuring.
  • Perform dimensional geometric checkouts of larger units or sub-assemblies on granite.
  • Perform proper machine foundation set-ups.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area, adhering to safety standards and wearing personal protective equipment when required.
