Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Clerk to join our dynamic finance team at Jobot. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. This is a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced and challenging environment, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of our daily accounting functions.

Responsibilities
  1. Manage all financial transactions, from fixed payments and variable expenses to bank deposits and budgets.
  2. Prepare and submit weekly/monthly reports and assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.
  3. Audit financial documents and procedures, reconcile bank statements, and calculate tax payments and returns.
  4. Handle sensitive information in a confidential manner.
  5. Regularly review and follow up on outstanding receivables, including contacting customers regarding overdue accounts and determining reasons for non-payment.
  6. Perform collection activities such as sending follow-up inquiries, negotiating with past due accounts, and referring accounts to collection agencies.
  7. Conduct day-to-day accounting tasks, including complex general ledger entries, account reconciliation, and analysis.
  8. Collaborate with the rest of the finance team to ensure accuracy and compliance with company and industry regulations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • A minimum of 2+ years of proven accounting experience, preferably in the finance industry.
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles.
  • Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures and financial records.
  • High degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, particularly in Excel, and familiarity with relevant accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks).
  • Demonstrated experience in collections, with a strong emphasis on customer service and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent data entry skills along with a knack for numbers.
  • Proven track record of effectively meeting deadlines and working under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities and aptitude in problem-solving.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Outstanding organizational and multitasking abilities.
