Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Automation Specialist to join our team at Lewis Energy Group. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for providing first-line technical support for our internal customers regarding building and home automation, as well as audio-visual (AV) infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to internal customers regarding building and home automation, and AV infrastructure.
  • Engineering Support: Collaborate with our engineering team to design, specify, review, program, and validate system performance, upgrades, and installation.
  • Installation and Configuration: Install and configure network and Wi-Fi systems, as well as advanced mounting systems such as mantle mounts or motorized projector lifts.
  • Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot and diagnose issues on customer audio/video systems, and complete job documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain inventory and cleanliness of work vehicles, and complete complex audio/video installs, setup, and calibration.
  • System Design: Control system design, including lighting, shading, and network/Wi-Fi systems.
  • Training and Development: Stay up-to-date on technical requirements and industry standards, and identify training needs.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, and a minimum of 7 years related experience and/or training.
  • Computer Skills: Advanced skills in the use of the MS Office suite of software programs, and proficiency in the use of tools such as Adobe, Nitro Pro, and common smartphone devices and applications.
  • Certifications and Licenses: CEDIA, Crestron MCP and/or MTA, Lutron Homeworks/RA2 certifications desirable, but not required.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: Proficient in AV, lighting, shading, network/Wi-Fi, control systems installation and programming, and knowledgeable in operation and use of common hardware and software systems.
