Building Automation Controls Technician Levels 1, 2, and 3

The BAS Technician will be an integral part of a dedicated team focused on the installation, programming, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and maintenance of Direct Digital Control (DDC) building automation systems. This role necessitates effective communication with clients, contractors, engineers, and team members.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct checkout, start-up, and commissioning activities on various projects.
  • Diagnose issues and implement solutions to ensure optimal system performance.
  • Utilize various hand and power tools effectively.
  • Execute service repairs, adjustments, and calibrations on building automation systems.
  • Facilitate customer training sessions and assist in the completion of project closeout documentation.
  • Develop and troubleshoot software applications and graphical user interfaces.
  • Offer technical assistance and guidance to end-users and colleagues as needed.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience with DDC Building Automation Systems, including LON, BACnet, and Niagara AX or N4.
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as required.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams proficiently.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of IP networking.
  • Possession of a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • Occasional travel may be necessary.

Preferred Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience with Tridium Niagara, Lonworks, Distech Controls, Siemens, or other BACnet Control Systems.

Education:

  • High School Diploma and/or completion of Trade School.

Preferred Certifications:

  • Niagara AX or N4, Distech EC-gfx, Siemens Desigo.
