Job Description

PayPal is seeking a highly experienced and skilled marketing and advertising executive to join our legal team. As the Head of Advertising and Compliance, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and guidance to our PayPal Ads organization on a wide range of legal and regulatory matters related to digital advertising.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide timely and business-focused legal advice on design and strategy, and proactively identify associated risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in areas of data privacy and protection laws, including state and federal consumer protection and privacy laws, GDPR, and other global privacy laws.
  • Develop regulatory strategy with global privacy regulators in connection with new product features and initiatives.
  • Assist in developing appropriate terms, conditions, and disclosures for advertising offerings.
  • Collaborate with other legal and compliance teams, and other cross-functional groups to support advertising initiatives globally.
  • Monitor regulatory developments impacting your portfolio of products and advise business and legal partners on their impact.
  • Provide training to business leaders on legal and regulatory matters related to PayPal Ads.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school and admission to at least one state bar in current good standing.
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant legal experience in-house or at a major law firm, with at least 3+ years at a mid-to-large size technology company.
  • Experience advising on privacy legal risks and mitigations.
  • Must have experience advising on legal and regulatory matters related to digital advertising and ad-tech.
