About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist to join our team at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging department, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our hospital.

Responsibilities
  • Perform radiographic diagnostic and interventional special procedures, following and verifying referring providers' orders, and applying learned methodologies according to established policy and procedures.
  • Educate patients and families regarding procedures and treatments, demonstrating professional behavior and fostering teamwork and quality patient outcomes.
  • Produce high-quality images by adjusting radiation parameters and preparing them for timely interpretation, while maintaining accurate documentation.
  • Demonstrate competence in performing prescribed invasive and interventional procedures, as well as administering radiopharmaceuticals and other approved medications.
  • Perform and evaluate equipment quality control measurements, troubleshoot issues, and notify appropriate personnel to maintain equipment performance.
  • Accountable for maintaining a safe environment for patients, personnel, and visitors, adhering to radiation safety policies.
  • Assure the efficient operation of workflow in the department, monitoring and maintaining an adequate inventory of supplies and materials.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent working knowledge.
  • Certificate or diploma from an approved/accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Cardiovascular Technologist, or Invasive Specialist.
  • National Certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) required.
  • At least one year of Cardiac Cath Lab experience.
  • BLS and ALS required.
  • Effective communication and human relations skills, with the ability to analyze data and solve problems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred certification.
  • Additional related education and/or experience preferred.
