Trades Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Trades Helper to join our team at New Castle County, DE. As a Trades Helper, you will assist skilled tradespeople in maintenance, repair, and construction work, performing tasks under the guidance of a journey-level tradesperson.
Key Responsibilities- Assist skilled tradespeople in various trades, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and more.
- Perform tasks such as cutting, threading, and installing pipe, installing and repairing fixtures and plumbing systems, and troubleshooting and repairing electrical circuits and devices.
- Assist in the operation of equipment, including pumps, motors, and welding equipment.
- Perform maintenance and repair work on buildings, roads, and other infrastructure.
- Assist in the setup and maintenance of equipment, including television cameras and grouters.
- At least one year of experience in maintenance and repair work.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Valid Delaware Class D driver's license or its equivalent.
- Ability to pass a Class II County physical examination and background check.
