Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Outreach Education Program Facilitator to join our team at the City of Golden. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and interactive educational programs to elementary school students in Jefferson County and the Denver Metro area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver 90-minute outreach programs for third through fifth-grade students, focusing on STEM education and Colorado history.
  • Work closely with teachers and staff to provide information about program activities and requirements.
  • Facilitate classroom discussions, manage transitions between activities, and create a safe and engaging learning environment.
  • Utilize classroom technologies, including projection systems, Smartboards, and Prezi presentation software.
  • Communicate regularly with supervisors to ensure high-quality programming and adapt to changing group dynamics.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or experience in classroom education, history, or museum studies preferred.
  • Experience leading and managing elementary school-age students in a classroom or large groups is highly desirable.
  • Basic knowledge of Colorado history and ability to share program information in a professional and engaging manner.
  • Excellent organizational, instructional, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and make independent decisions.
What We Offer

The City of Golden offers a competitive hourly rate of $18.83 - $21.65, depending on experience. Part-time and seasonal employees may be eligible for benefits and accrue sick leave. We are an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
