Position Overview: Billion Auto is looking for a Construction Project Coordinator Trainee to collaborate with a seasoned construction manager in the organization and execution of construction projects. This role is essential in ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and within financial constraints. The trainee will assist in managing logistics, assigning tasks, and monitoring project budgets. Additionally, they will learn to estimate project costs.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Developmental role aimed at becoming a project manager or estimator
  • Review and coordinate plans with designers and the project manager
  • Oversee construction submittals and coordination
  • Create and manage project schedules
  • Develop initial and conceptual budgets
  • Administer subcontractor agreements
  • Generate take-offs and cost estimates
  • Manage job costs
  • Coordinate with the onsite project team

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Basic understanding of commercial construction principles or a strong interest in pursuing a career in this field
  • Prior experience in the commercial construction industry is advantageous
  • A bachelor’s degree or progress towards one in a construction-related field is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Willingness to learn and grow
  • Strong mathematical abilities
  • Capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
