The Hawthorns Golf & Country Club is seeking a dedicated and experienced Server to join our esteemed team. As the face of our prestigious club, you will play a vital role in creating exceptional dining experiences for our valued members.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing attentive and personalized service, ensuring that every interaction with our members is memorable and enjoyable. Your responsibilities will encompass all aspects of table service, from greeting guests to presenting menus, taking orders, serving food and beverages, and resolving any inquiries or concerns.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare dining areas meticulously, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness.
  • Warmly greet members upon arrival, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Present menus effectively and guide members in selecting their desired dishes and beverages.
  • Accurately take orders and deliver them promptly and efficiently.
  • Answer questions about the menu, provide recommendations, and ensure member satisfaction.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with kitchen and bar staff to ensure smooth service operations.
  • Handle complaints or issues professionally and strive to resolve them amicably.
  • Process payments accurately and efficiently.
Skills:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within a fine dining establishment is preferred.
  • Proven proficiency in handling cash transactions and POS systems.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, patience, and a customer-oriented approach.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
  • Responsible, trustworthy, and reliable.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Indiana Liquor license required or in progress.
