About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Services Director to join our team at Kroll. As a key member of our Tax Services business unit, you will be responsible for managing multiple and complex sales and use tax engagements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement sales and use tax processes and system improvements for clients across various industries.
  • Identify and secure opportunities for sales tax compliance and planning services, and cross-sell other Firm-provided services to new and existing clients.
  • Assist in the development, management, and delivery of Sales and Use Tax services, and market these services to existing and potential clients based on recent developments.
  • Provide assistance and oversight on client engagements, and research new and current tax legislation to stay up-to-date on industry developments.
  • Deliver projects in a timely manner with final work products that meet or exceed client expectations, and develop and maintain client relationships to ensure an ongoing pipeline of project work.
  • Supervise, mentor, and train client service team members to ensure the success of our Tax Services business unit.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a business-related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant sales and use tax consulting experience.
  • Substantial knowledge of sales and use tax statutes of various state and local jurisdictions.
  • Excellent project management and presentation skills, including superior verbal and written communication skills.
  • Extensive experience in the use of Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
  • Previous experience leading a team of professionals and growing a sales tax practice.
  • A strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, as well as strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to motivate others to excel in a professional services environment.
