Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to join our Managed Care Department in Tacoma, WA. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for screening non-insured patients, providing public health coverage enrollment assistance, and educating patients on their insurance options.

You will also assist in scheduling appointments, identifying other healthcare services available, and participating in outreach and marketing activities. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work with diverse populations will be essential in building strong relationships with our patients and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a primary liaison between clients and clinic, focusing on alleviating barriers to service and helping patients establish Sea Mar as their medical home.
  • Assist with public health coverage program applications, ensure patients have selected a primary care provider, and assist in scheduling appointments.
  • Participate in outreach and marketing activities, and distribute informational/promotional materials approved by the Managed Care Department.
  • Maintain activity records, submit progress reports as directed by the Managed Care Department.
Requirements:
  • High School graduation; AA or BA in Social Services preferred.
  • At least 1 year of customer service experience required; preferably in a healthcare environment.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is highly preferred.

  • A competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per annum, depending on experience.
