Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Paramedic to join our team at Advocate Aurora Health. As a Paramedic, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Document patient information and procedures in a timely and accurate manner
  • Communicate effectively with licensed clinicians, physicians, and other healthcare professionals
  • Administer medications and operate specialized equipment as directed by licensed clinicians
  • Assist with emergency situations and provide support to patients and families
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
Requirements
  • Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) Paramedic license issued by the state in which you practice
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in Emergency Medical Services
  • Typically requires 1 year of experience in a paramedic role or appropriate related clinical experience
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to sit, stand, walk, lift, bend, squat, reach above shoulders, and twist frequently during the work shift. You must be able to lift up to 50 lbs from the floor to waist, lift up to 20 lbs over the head, and carry up to 40 lbs a reasonable distance. You will be required to use foot pedals on carts or machines and will be exposed to mechanical, electrical, chemical, radiation, and blood and body fluids hazards on a continuous basis.
