The Patient Service Representative will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to the MaineHealth team. This individual will be responsible for greeting patients in a friendly and courteous manner, answering telephones, scheduling appointments, and performing various administrative tasks as assigned.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, verify, enter, and monitor patient data while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and MaineHealth confidentiality policies.
- Provide excellent customer service and communication skills to patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Utilize strong organizational skills to accomplish multiple tasks and maintain a high level of productivity.
- Work effectively as a team member with minimal direct supervision, demonstrating a professional manner even in stressful situations.
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
- Previous office experience with medical office experience is highly desirable.
- Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software applications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate clearly in person and on the phone.
- Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.
