Job Overview

Northwest Corp. is in search of a proficient and committed Heavy Equipment Crane Operator to enhance our workforce. This position entails the mobilization and demobilization of various crane types, including boom trucks, truck cranes, and all-terrain cranes, with capacities ranging from 55T to 350T. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating cranes safely and efficiently, while strictly adhering to all applicable regulations and protocols to ensure the timely and quality completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Mobilization and Demobilization: Efficiently mobilize and demobilize boom trucks, truck cranes, and all-terrain cranes for diverse job sites.

Crane Operation: Conduct crane operations safely and effectively, in compliance with NCCCO standards, manufacturer instructions, and company safety protocols. Responsible for lifting, moving, and positioning heavy materials and equipment as directed by project management.

Inspections and Maintenance: Carry out daily inspections of cranes and related equipment to confirm operational integrity. Promptly report any issues or malfunctions to the maintenance team for immediate attention.

Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a secure working environment. Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety procedures during all operational activities.

Communication and Coordination: Effectively communicate with ground personnel using hand signals, two-way radios, or other communication tools. Collaborate with the rigging team to ensure proper load attachment and security.

Project Execution: Meet project timelines and deadlines while upholding high standards of workmanship. Ensure meticulous performance and attention to detail in all tasks.

Work Schedule:

  • Full-time position, Monday to Friday, with occasional travel and overtime.

Qualifications:

  • Valid and current driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • OSHA 10 certification, DOT Medical Card, and Class A CDL certification.
  • Experience and certification in crane operation preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience as a Crane Operator or in a similar capacity within the construction sector.
  • NCCCO certification or equivalent crane operator certification is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of crane operations, safety protocols, and rigging techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and load charts effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong commitment to safety and compliance with safety protocols.
  • Physical stamina and capability to perform manual labor in varying weather conditions.
