Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Transportation Manager to lead our Domicile Transportation team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods across the country.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead with a safety-first mindset to ensure the well-being of our drivers, customers, and the general public.
  • Champion safety procedures, processes, and training to create a culture of safety within the Transportation department.
  • Oversee and develop drivers and Transportation associates through coaching, training, and problem resolution.
  • Ensure all drivers and Transportation associates are properly trained in job duties, safety, and legal responsibilities.
  • Direct and supervise the work and productivity of drivers and clerical associates within the Transportation department.
  • Build high-performing teams by participating in interviewing and hiring Transportation personnel.
  • Monitor production goals and maintain a zero-error attitude to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction.
  • Anticipate, analyze, and troubleshoot problems with deliveries and devise cost-effective and legal solutions.
  • Ensure team understanding and adherence to DOT regulations.
  • Identify and stop waste, and improve processes to complete work more safely and efficiently.
Requirements
  • Minimum of three years of experience in transportation/delivery or warehouse distribution.
  • Minimum of one year of experience overseeing a workforce.
  • Experience as a driver a plus.
  • Broad knowledge of transportation/delivery operations, methods, and procedures.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and people development skills.
  • Strong understanding of DOT requirements.
  • Familiarity with inventory control, OSHA, and other regulatory requirements.
Work Environment

This role may require significant time on the road and exposure to noise and vibration levels. You will also spend time in an office working on a computer.

Travel

50% travel required, typically for mandatory meetings and/or training.
