About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to join our team at The Hartford. As a key member of our HIMCO and Corporate IT architecture team, you will play a critical role in supporting our business units and driving our portfolio transformation and modernization objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze our current application portfolio and design innovative solutions leveraging SAAS and Native Cloud architectures and services.
  • Work closely with application tech leads and app owners to align solutions to business objectives.
  • Identify and implement innovative ideas across the organization, working with business stakeholders to develop and execute Proof of Concepts.
  • Establish and drive clear, effective, and innovative cloud solution designs, aligning our HIMCO/CORP IT solutions with business and IT strategies.
  • Develop and align solutions to our reference architectures, blueprints, and business and IT strategies across The Hartford's CORP IT and HIMCO landscape.
  • Collaborate with enterprise Cloud and Infrastructure teams to create and socialize AWS Cloud solution designs.
  • Contribute to the development of architectural standards and designs to be leveraged throughout the enterprise.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in IT with 2+ years of hands-on experience in designing and implementing robust enterprise-level solutions.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, and technical writing skills.
  • Experience migrating solutions to cloud platforms, including in-depth knowledge of AWS services and cloud, hybrid cloud, and container deployment architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of integration and middleware technologies, including API, microservice, and event-driven architecture concepts.
  • Understanding and experience with AI, ML, and integrating data science models into operational systems.
  • Good understanding of designing and implementing solutions integrating with COTS packages and experience with publishing and document management solutions.
  • Strong knowledge of developing reusable assets, such as prototypes, solution designs, documentation, and other materials that contribute to department and organization effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, including continuous integration and continuous deployment concepts and tools.
  • Experience supporting Finance Line of Business functions, such as financial systems and technology.
