Nuclear Medicine Imaging Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team at the University of Illinois Hospital & Health Sciences System (UI Health). As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging procedures using radioactive materials and radiation detection equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform standard diagnostic in-vivo/in-vitro studies using radioactive materials and radiation detection equipment.
- Conduct basic computer operations and maintain lab equipment.
- Dispose of radioactive materials and store radiopharmaceuticals following radiation safety procedures.
- Effectively utilize information systems containing relevant patient information in Rad Net and Power Chart as well as Image Archiving System.
- Complete all training on in-services, including Net Learning, as related to individual's work activities.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current/Valid licensure in nuclear medicine by the State of Illinois Division of Nuclear Safety (IEMA).
- Current/Valid Certification or registration by the Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board (NMTCB) or the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Nuclear Medicine technology.
Work Environment:
This is a full-time and benefits-eligible position. UI Health offers competitive salaries commensurate with experience.
