Role Overview:
We are seeking talented individuals from backgrounds in data science, physics, engineering, economics, and programming to join our team as Quantitative Researchers. In this role, you will contribute to the development of cutting-edge machine learning strategies aimed at accurately forecasting the movements of liquid financial assets.
Team Structure:
Our Quantitative Researchers are integrated within several specialized teams:
Alpha Research Team:
As a member of this team, you will focus on crafting market-neutral signals, analyzing substantial data sets, and collaborating with the Data and Strategy Research team to create a diverse array of predictive models.
Data Science Team:
In this capacity, you will engage in parsing and analyzing extensive data sets, identifying new data sources, and working closely with the Alpha and Strategy teams to develop predictive machine learning models.
Strategy Research Team:
Your responsibilities will include formulating systematic strategies utilizing various machine learning and statistical methodologies, with data sourced from actual market trading.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and refine machine learning models aimed at predicting liquid assets using a comprehensive range of financial data and an extensive library of trading signals.
- Analyze data sets for future alpha (strategy) development.
- Explore and apply cutting-edge academic research in quantitative finance.
- Collaborate with experienced quantitative researchers to conduct experiments and validate hypotheses through simulations.
- BS/MS/PhD in a STEM field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in quantitative research.
- Strong enthusiasm for machine learning.
- Proficiency in programming languages, particularly Python.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Capacity to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Familiarity with financial accounting is advantageous.
- A background in quantitative finance is beneficial but not mandatory.
