Job Summary

The Department of Psychiatry at Michigan Medicine is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Research Coordinator to support research activities related to Sleep and Circadian Rhythms in various clinical populations. In this role, you will work closely with faculty and research personnel to coordinate and administer research studies, ensuring the highest level of quality and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage research studies, including preparing written instructions and procedures, overseeing participant screening, and conducting interviews and assessments.
  • Assist with the hiring, onboarding, and supervision of junior research staff, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow.
  • Provide logistic and regulatory guidance on Investigator Initiated Studies, ensuring adherence to University and Federal guidelines.
  • Manage subject reimbursement and payments, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Assist with the preparation of research papers and manuscripts for publication, and participate in presentations at conferences and workshops.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Science or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.
  • Certification through the Association of Clinical Research Professionals (ACRP) or the Society of Clinical Research Association (SoCRA) as a Certified Clinical Research Coordinator (CCRC) or Certified Clinical Research Professional (CCRP).
  • Minimum 3 years of directly related experience in clinical research and clinical trials.
  • A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends as needed to support research objectives.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Six or more years of directly related experience.
  • Previous experience using Microsoft software, REDCap, GraphPad Prism, and SPSS.
  • Previous experience with wrist actigraphy, Fitbit, and wearable technology.
  • Previous experience with sleep-related research.
