Job Summary

The University of Michigan is seeking a highly motivated and organized Research Area Specialist to join its research team. This is a full-time position that involves hybrid work, with a mix of remote and in-person work at the Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Center.

Responsibilities

  • Provide research results and diagnosis feedback to participants in the University of Michigan Memory and Aging Project (UM-MAP) and other related projects.
  • Collect and ensure accurate documentation of study data, update standard operating procedures manuals, and lead quarterly team meetings.
  • Coordinate the Outcomes Following Feedback on Research Results (OFFeR) feedback outcomes study, including tracking participant recruitment, liaising with the Institutional Review Board, and administering research surveys.
  • Assist with compliance and reporting to funding and regulatory agencies.
  • Participate in community outreach activities and work collaboratively with MADC and U-M Neuropsychology affiliated teams.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a related field, with experience working with clinical populations and older adults with and without dementia.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with ability to multitask and work well under time constraints and deadlines.
  • Dedication to community-engaged research practices and cultural humility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active clinical license in the State of Michigan.
  • Experience using REDCap and knowledge of Michigan Medicine policies and procedures.

Work Mode

This position is eligible for hybrid work, with a mix of remote and in-person work at the Michigan Alzheimer's Disease Center.
