Mobile Crisis Intervention Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Mobile Crisis Specialist to join our team at Neighborhood Service Organization.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting the mission and values of our organization, while engaging with individuals experiencing mental health or substance use crises. This role requires strong assessment and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Crisis Assessment: Conduct face-to-face Pre-Admission Review (PAR) screenings to determine the appropriate level of care for adults experiencing behavioral health crises.
- Communication: Collaborate with diversion resources, such as Crisis Stabilization Units and Partial Hospitalization Programs, to coordinate level of care disposition.
- Case Coordination: Work closely with COPE Team Leads and hospital staff to ensure seamless transitions and optimal outcomes.
- Ongoing Support: Provide ongoing interaction with COPE team leads and COPE dispatch to facilitate effective PAR outcomes.
- Time Management: Complete assigned PAR screenings within required time limits.
- Diagnostics: Formulate preliminary DSM-V diagnoses and identify potential safety concerns, suicide risk, natural supports, and community involvement.
- Community Resources: Utilize knowledge of community behavioral health services networks to assist consumers in obtaining suitable services.
- Safety and Emergency Services: Ensure participants are informed of available support and emergency services.
- Documentation: Accurately document and report facts, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
Requirements:
- Education: Master's degree from an accredited college or university in psychology, social work, or counseling.
- Licensure: Licensed LLMSW, LMSW, LP, LLP, LLPC, or LPC by the State of Michigan, with a valid Michigan driver's license and proof of auto insurance.
- Experience: At least 12 months of direct treatment experience in a behavioral health inpatient or outpatient setting, with a minimum of 6 months working with adults with co-occurring disorders.
