About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Room Operations Manager to join our team at Brookdale Senior Living. As a key member of our dining services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our dining room, ensuring that our residents receive exceptional service and a high-quality dining experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the daily operations of the dining room, including room service and convenience store operations
  • Assign wait staff to designated sections and ensure that all staff are properly trained and equipped to provide excellent service
  • Ensure that room service orders are delivered timely and properly, and that the dining room is clean and well-maintained
  • Oversee the resident billing process for food services charges
  • Assist in producing weekly schedules for service staff, ensuring that budgetary guidelines are met
  • Lead the training of new dining room associates and conduct ongoing training sessions
  • Provide supervision for special events and assist service staff during mealtime as needed
  • Assist in greeting and seating residents and guests
  • In consultation with the Dining Services Director, hire, train, discipline, and terminate departmental associates in accordance with company policies
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or two to three years of related experience and/or training
  • Current ServSafe Certification required
  • Local, state, and/or county required food handling/sanitation licenses and/or certificates
  • Outgoing and cheerful personality, with the ability to work with older adults and stand for long periods of time
Working Conditions

This role requires standing, walking, sitting, and occasional weekend, evening, or night work to ensure shift coverage. You will also be required to use your hands and fingers to handle or feel, reach with your hands and arms, and possibly be exposed to communicable diseases and infections.
