This small hospital in North Central Minnesota is looking for an experienced OR nurse to complete a 13-week travel contract. Requirements include 2 years of OR experience, organized assessment and communication skills for all ages, ACLS, and BLS certifications. The traveler will work 8-hour days (6:45 am - 3:15 pm) plus some call for this assignment. The hospital has 3 ORs and performs various procedures, including endoscopy, general surgery, OB-GYN, urology, orthopedics, ENT, and dental procedures.

Requirements:

  • Currently registered with the Minnesota Board of Nursing
  • Minimum of 1 year full-time OR nursing within the past 3 years or completion of a postgraduate course in OR nursing within the past year
  • BLS and ACLS certifications or ability to attain within 6 months and maintain certification
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large volumes of multiple patient/family/staff/physicians/priorities within short time frames and organize workload
  • Experience in assessing the individual needs of adult, geriatric, adolescent, and pediatric patients and their families undergoing operative or other invasive procedures
  • Ability to report to the hospital within 30 minutes of notification for call-outs
