We are seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Affairs Director to join our team. As a key member of our Compliance Risk Management department, you will be responsible for supporting the Vice President of Compliance Risk Management in championing and providing overall Enterprise Risk Management leadership, vision, and direction throughout VyStar.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Increasing risk awareness and understanding of individual and compounding compliance risk exposures for those ultimately responsible for ongoing risk management activities - the Board and Audit Committee, Senior Management, and business line managers.
  • Assisting the VP of CRM in enhanced risk-based decision-making processes by providing guidance and collaborating with business units to ensure compliance with applicable rules, laws, and regulations.
  • Managing VyStar's response to regulatory complaints and tracking and trending complaint topics.
  • Regularly evaluating and monitoring the effectiveness of VyStar's Compliance Management System (CMS) and compliance risk management activities through a formal Compliance Risk Management Monitoring and Reporting Program in conjunction with the VP of CRM.
  • Ensuring key compliance risk drivers are identified, acceptable risk mitigation/response strategies, and acceptable tolerance levels are defined in collaboration with Executive Management and Department Managers.
  • Preparing regular informational reports on the effectiveness of compliance activities across the organization, summarizing upcoming regulatory changes, concluding on the effectiveness of compliance risk management activities, and identifying opportunities to enhance and/or strengthen the overall CRMP.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in regulatory compliance and risk management. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a business curriculum or related field and at least six years of regulatory compliance experience in a financial institution. Professional compliance and/or risk management certification(s) are preferred.

The successful candidate will have strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to build rapport and professionally interact at all levels within the organization. They will also have experience handling regulatory complaints and tracking and trending complaint topics, as well as the ability to analyze complaint data.
