Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage security personnel to ensure effective and efficient safety and security operations.
  • Develop and implement safety and security protocols and procedures to prevent and respond to incidents.
  • Collaborate with campus administrators and department leaders to ensure a coordinated approach to safety and security.
  • Conduct regular security assessments and risk analyses to identify potential threats and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with local law enforcement agencies to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Provide training and guidance to security personnel on safety and security procedures and protocols.
  • Monitor and analyze security incident reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and college policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as criminal justice, security management, or a related field.
  • At least two years of experience in security and safety management, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound decisions.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with minimal supervision.
  • Valid Texas driver's license and ability to drive a college-owned vehicle.
Working Conditions

The Security Supervisor will work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interactions with students, faculty, staff, and law enforcement agencies. The position requires the ability to work varied shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
